Blog Introduction

Prelim all sorted and ideas flowing I feel ready and up for the the task. Working as a group we decided to do horror as it is a flexible and exciting genre that will be interesting to watch and interesting to create. With this genre we can ultilise many techniques that horror films use and can watch several horror films for influence. The main problem we see as for filming is lighting. The issue is that due to the nature of horror: darkness and night time - we may come into some potential problems. As a group we need to figure out how to produce a good quality picture without grainy interference of the lack of light. To overcome this we have ideas to use the darkness to our advantage by creating a circle of light with a torch which will be scary and will make the viewer feel uncomfortable not knowing what is not shown on camera in the circle of light. We have also decided that we will try and film the dark scenes only where necessary. We have a few ideas for good locations around our local areas that are perfect for the horror genre - old, dirty and most of all scary! Luke Budworth
