Introduction
Hi... So I have finally reached the stage were I can begin writing a blog on my media coursework project. I have recently finished creating my Preliminary activity. This involved creating a new magazine product and gave me the opportunity to use and learn; Adobe Photoshop. I can honestly say I am really looking forward to creating my music magazine and can't wait to get started.
Preliminary
For my Perliminary activity I decided to use as many techniques on Adobe Photoshop as possible as I thought it was a great opportunity to become confident in using the software. Therefore especially on my front cover I used a main image which simply shows two college students and gives the magazine a fun and friendly atmosphere. Then I used tools such as cropping and the magic wand to create the effect of my photos being taken in a photobooth as I felt it made the magazine more unique and interesting, also it identified the magazine as being aimed at a teenage audience. I have to say I was very pleased with the final results of my Preliminary exercise and I now feel fully ready to begin making my music magazine.

Try looking at Rolling Stone, an American magazine aimed at a mass audience. I will be interested to see the results of your New York photos combined with shots taken of models here. Remember to think carefully about perspective and composition when taking these background shots.
