I have created a range of possible logos on photoshop trying out the drop shaddow, bevel+emboss and the out glow effect. The second one definatley reflects my previous research on Top of the Pops. I don't like the fifth one as is is verging too much on retro rather than modern.
Try looking up the now defunct "Smash Hits" magazine. This will provide a comparison with the T.O.T.P. magazine. What are the common features of both titles?
