Highlights of Photo Shoot #1

Below are the 3 photos I like the most from the shoot with Ryan. For the production, I will have access to the whole collection of photos, but these are some that I intend to edit and feature prominently in my magazine. I have noted the qualities of each photo which I think are suitable for SYNC Magazine.

Image 1:

The artist isn't trying too hard, and it looks like a moment was captured. Its as if he is in the middloe of a song and I've just photographed him. Although probably not a cover shot, it would certainly look good on the double page spread.

Image 2:

This is an interesting image which is something thats necessary to attract attention to the cover of a magazine. He is making eye-contact with the reader which engages them and makes the magazine seem appealing. Also, there is space in the top-left segment for the masthead. This could make an excellent cover shot.

Image 3:

What I like about this shot is how versatile it is. It has a Jack Johnson-style acoustic look in which the artist appears relaxed and is just doing what he does best. There is eye contace with the reader which makes this suitable for the cover, contents or main-feature spread.
