2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?
We intentionally created a film that explored the social groups within a high school. As like most American styled filmed we focused on the stereotypical appearence of teenage cliques and decided to physicalise and exaggerate the status quo that is evidently present within the high school years. We went for the typical outcast female who longs for the 'jock' of the school, the popular, sports captain appeal that is common in films such as 'It's a boy girl thing'. We also introduced the popular, good looking, girlfriend to make our outcast female's life hell. These characters are an exaggerated version of real life situations that our audience may feel that they have been through. The stereotypical appearance has been enhanced through the use of mise en scene and through the dramatic use of the milkshake in Summer's face. We aslo used the clothing that our charecters were in to really emphasise there stereotype. The way on which we dressed our female lead 'summer' instantly made the audience aware of the type of person she was playing and the social group she was part of.

3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
The media institution that we feel might distribute our media product is a major Hollywood studio. The reason for this is our choice to create a American style romantic comedy. Thus, reaching out to a much wider audience between the ages of 16-24 year olds. Our film would not be a small independent film that would only be in the cinema for a breif viewing and a small amount of advertisement. It would however be a majorly promoted film that would bring in a lot of viewers but would also reach out to other media products such as magazine interviews/photoshoots and massivley on the internet. Therefore, leading a to a big profit like many of the top Hollywood studio produced romantic comedies do so.

4. Who would be the audience for your media product?
After spending time researching different genres of films we came to the conclusion to make a short opening to a romantic commedy. The reason we did this is we felt that we could ourselves relate to our target audience and produce a product that would meet the demands they require within a film. The genre we picked is highley popular with teenagers at the moment especially teenage girls. One of the reasons for this is their ability to realte to the commom leading female role of a troubled teenager that like many other romantic commedys we have also included.
