Contents Page: Main Image

I think the best place to start in regards to my contents page is with my main image. I need to know exactly what size my image is going to be, and what it is going to look like in order to fit in every other convention to my page. So their are a number of images of my models to choose from, here are the ones I like the best.

I love this picture, I think it is very edgy mainly because of the stance Jess has and the use of her eye contact. I also think this picture delivers a large amount of sex appeal. This however is delivered by Emily. Not only is Em's clothing very sexy, but her stance is also very provocative and oozes sex appeal. The use of heels increases that sexiness but also adds femininity to the picture. However although I like this picture I do think that perhaps the microphone is covering a bit too much of Jess's face. Therefore I will now look for a picture that has them standing up
as I think this will look really good and be very effective in engaging my audience.

I really like this picture I think unlike the other image above, this one actually shows of more of Jess's girly outfit. However It still keeps the same amount of edginess and sexiness. I think this is because of my models direct eye contact with the audience. However I also liked the image above when Jess didnt have direct eye contact I think it made the picture look even more edgy.
However I was thinking maybe it would be good to have a contrast in emotions and atmosphere therefore I am possibly considering having Jess smiling on the picture while Emily does a typical serious expression.

I really like this picture because I think it is a lovely contrast between sweetness and sexy. Jess look adorable with her big Cheshire grin and I honestly think it makes her look more accessible. Whilst Emily Has a very serious look on her face and isnt looking directly at the canera like Jess is. I do think that Emily's use of eye contact here isn't good because it makes the reader think she is in a daze and therefore isnt interested in the magazine. However I love the way Jess is stood everything she does in this picture just says Innocence. I think what I need to find is a picture that looks very edgy and has a large amount of sex appeal. However I do like the idea of using a picture that speaks fun and shows the girls to be ordinary young women. I might use such a picture somewhere in my double page spread.

I have decided that this picture is going to be my main image for my contents page.
Why:
1. It is extreamly edgy and oozes sex appeal

2.The girl clothes can be seen fully.

3. Both the microphone and Amp are featured which makes the photo look well thought out.

4. The girls poses are completely different to the image I have used on my front cover.

5. Just a fantastic image that with the right editing will look really effective on my contents page.
Now I need to edit my image and settle on a colour scheme and layout.
