this video demonstrates the 180 degree rule:

The beginning stage was converging as a group and pulling together all of our ranging thoughts and ideas which then moved us on to decide on how we could develop them to create the most succesful horror opening sequence as possible. In the lesson time we watched a range of opening sequences which were completed by previous students, some were of a high standard A grade and some of a c grade or even lower. This allowed us to visually see what our target was for the deadline and this motivated us to produce and film the best possible sequence as possible. WE also viewed some proffesional older opening thriller sequences which enabled us to view how we could use techniques like match on action, the reverse shot, time effects and even just simply the 180 degree rule. This was the first step to planning and researching for the production process and now we plan to move forward into looking at how proffesional films make it as realistic for the audience as possible.
