Front Cover Completed

All my research has really helped me to create this front cover although i will probably make a few more tweaks to it over the next few weeks. I shall evaluate it at a later stage.

This was a first 'draft' of my front cover

However, after some reflection, feedback and good advice i decided that the issue, price and date box was too big, the 'PLUS!' is slightly covered, the strapline was a bit bare in the middle, the teasers would look better with a little more detail and the gap above the price box is too empty.
Here's the difference it made:
This second draft is more organised chaos, I have used a limited colour palette of bright yet soft colours. The used of drop-shadow gives the page depth and adds perspective. The white outline on the tour gossip feature really brings the picture into the foreground which in turn brings the strap line forward.
Initially the main image was over exposed so I had to add vibrancy to bring out warm tones in her skin. She is at eye level which is nice and direct towards the audience, for instance, if she was looking up it may be seen as provocative which is too sexually for my target age group. Her open mouthed smile is innocent looking.
