Decision on title

We decided that because our sequence doesn't clearly suggest the idea of the villain trying to make "friends" that the working title of 'Lets Be Friends' was no longer suitable
Deciding on the new title title was a group decision and was one of the most difficult throughout the project. Although it doesnt make a large difference to the opening credits and the grade, it does have a huge impact on the audience's initial impression of the film as it suggests the genre and also perhaps what it is going to be about.
We analysed a list of films which are already used today and came to the decision that we wanted a single word title as films with such titles seem to raise the most interest. They can either be really ambiguous or quite literally tell you who and/or what the film is going to be about, just in a single word. These are some of the scary/horror films with one word titles which illustrate this:

We brainstormed different words, trying to link specific words together or even to just improve on the word we had originally thought of.

Our final decision was 'Wrench'. This has a double meaning and this PUN works well alongside of our storyline and location. Therefore wrench as in 'a tool' and wrench as in 'a surge of compassion and emotion'.
