Font choice for credits and title

Fonts was a large decision for our group to make as we wanted to create the most eerie horror effect but also with a child-like touch. The font style had to fit with the storyline and also the style of the filming and editing. When researching what font to choose i analysed a range of colours sizes and effects on fonts which i had observed on other proffesional film opening credits. One which really caught our eye was the opening credit sequence for 'Se7en'.

The flickering and reflect effect on the text is most effective and works excellently with the style of the film and i thought this would work very well with our film also. This same effect we can re-create with our editing techniques on adobe premiere. There is a list of effects which can be used and then by altering the percentage of width, length etc you can create a range of fonts to form eerie and effective credits. This has a massive impact on the immediate impression of the film.

We used a website www.1001freefonts.com to search for the best and most suitable fonts available. This was the font which we decided to use:

'Jo_wrote_a_lovesong1'
