Question 3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

A production company such as Forward Film would produce our film and a company such as BBC Films would distribute our product as it is a low budget, British film and targets a younger audience due to the story line and the characters involved. Therefore it would not be a large Hollywood Blockbuster. Similar to the film Tormented (released in 2010) as this was produce by BBC Films and Slingshot Productions and distributed by BIR and the BBC. However, Tormented was also distributed by large companies such as Warner Bros and 20th Century Fox. We would take factors like this into consideration when deciding on how to distribute our film. Although, Tormented didn’t make profit due to the large expense of distribution and poor quality of the film. Many of the reviews it gained were negative with people stating that the ‘skins generation’ must have low expectations.
