Question 2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Are media product clearly represents a social group. There is a clear representation of a relationship between two sisters. There is a stereotypical older sister. We dressed her well and she wore make-up and did her hair. We gave her a boyfriend who she was clearly comfortable with, giving us a clearer idea of her age. The younger sister we dressed in her school uniform immediately showing her age group. The language used between the sisters emphasises the dominance and age difference. When mind mapping these ideas we took into account how the different age groups would interpret the character relationships. Both the older and younger audience would be able to relate in some way and use the characters’ experiences and reactions against their own.
