Question 7. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

As a group, we have realised that it is very important to film in the correct place and have accurate mise-en-scene as it adds the social realism of the production. When we filmed our preliminary film we only had the freedom to film in college due to time restrictions, therefore our storyline was restricted to a situation set in college with college students. Just like this type of film that was also filmed in college.

We also learnt how to create ideas as a group so each of us had a valuable input into the production. We did this by experimenting with editing ideas such as sound effects during the graveyard scene when Becki first sees ‘dead’ Olivia.
During the process of making the full product we all realised how much time and energy is need to commit to a production, therefore we had to manage our time accordingly.

We have also learnt how to use the camera equipment to its full potential e.g. zoom.
