I like the front cover of this magazine as it shows a medium long shot of Janet Jackson using a camera prop, you immediately know the genre of the magazine is 'hip hop' and i like the way she is posing. I want my models to show attitude and to immediately show the genre of my magazine, i will make sure my models are dressed perfectly and look the part.

I like the front cover of this magazine as it is a close up of Lil Wayne and it shows the genre of the magazine, i like that the text is only on the left hand side of the page as it doesnt make the magazine over crowded. I like the white background behind both magazines and i think i may use a white studio background for mine but make the picture fit the majority of the page so that the front cover doesn't look empty and blank.
