We used a tripod for the shots we wanted steady, then handheld for the others. We always had a valid reason for how we used the camera. When filming outside we noticed when watching the footage back that there was a lot of wind and background noise affecting quality of sound. Therefore we used ambient sound and sound effects to allow it to balance out when editing.
Whilst setting the scene we looked at how the light affected the mis en scene. If the light was too bright or too dull we either had to tilt the camera or adjust the positioning, as we did not have the equipment to leave the camera settings and positioning.
We worked as well as we could with our equipment to get the best quality picture and sound in each scene as we could.
